A "Unit" is our term used to define an item which has it's own unique identifier.

This identifier can be anything from a serial number to a frame number, an engine or registration number. These items are usually your most valuable stock items and are therefore handled slightly differently to other standard parts in the system.

By defining an item as a Unit, you give yourself more control over the purchase, sale and repair of that item. A detailed service history is created by recording any workshop jobs performed on that Unit.

Examples:

  • Vehicles (Cars, Bikes, Boats)
  • Vehicle Accessories (Trailers, Engines, Caravans)
  • Equipment (Chainsaws, Generators, Machinery)
  • IT (Phones, PC's, Laptops)
